Good questions.
Where does my data live?
On your device. CrumbControl runs no servers and requires no account. If you turn on iCloud sync (Premium), data syncs through your own private iCloud. We can't see it either way. Read the privacy policy; it's short.
Does it handle metric and imperial units?
Yes: grams, kilograms, ounces, pounds, millilitres, litres, and counted items, converted automatically. Counted ingredients (like eggs) can carry a weight per item, so recipes can call for "50 g of egg" or "1 egg" interchangeably.
How does recipe costing work?
You enter what you actually paid ("$40 for a 1 kg bag") and link ingredients to recipes. CrumbControl works out the cost per batch and per unit, and suggests a selling price at a 60% margin. Every logged bake snapshots its cost, so history stays accurate when prices change.
Can I cancel Premium anytime?
Yes. Premium is a standard App Store subscription. Manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Your data is never held hostage: everything you entered keeps working on the free tier.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad, iOS 17.6 or later. Premium's iCloud sync keeps both in step.
